I like to call Lake Tahoe the Lake Como of the United States. Its crystal clear water and breathtaking views with endless trails to hike make it one of my favorite places to visit every summer and certainly not a bad spot to take engagement photos!
This stunning destination served as the backdrop for Philip getting down on one knee and asking Natalia to be his wife. Having met, bought a home, and lived in Lake Tahoe together for the last 6 years, it was the perfect place to get engaged!
Leading up to the shoot, we talked about their favorite things to do, places to go, and bucket list experiences. Of all the crazy ideas we came up with, we landed on an epic sunrise session in Lake Tahoe!
Neither of them are early birds and both agreed that it would need to be a very special occasion to wake up early enough to watch the sun rise. This happened to be that occasion!
We all woke up around 4 am, to get ready and drive out to Eagle Falls just in time for that golden light. We were all so geeked, running around, watching the first light of day begin to touch every rock formation and pine needle. The little pockets of light were so much fun to work with!
